Today for breakfast we had French toast. After breakfast we got ready and went to Korah. At Korah we had the first day of summer camp with the kids. We sang songs, told them a Bible story, did a craft and fed them lunch.
This is the church we used for summer camp.
This is me giving these girls some crayons for our craft.
This is me and my shadow for the day, Tegest.
This is the wat. They put it in their injera and use the injera as a fork to eat it. The injera is the bread on the plate.
This is Yergamachew meeting his sponsor, Miss Lisa, for the first time. He did not know she was coming.
After we fed the kids their lunch, injera and wat, we went to the bank and exchanged our money for birr. Then we went to the store and mommy got me a package of orange creme filled cookies and a Gatorade. Yummy! Then we went back to the guesthouse and I played temple run. Then we went to Tivolis for dinner. Tivolis has American type food. I had a piece of fried chicken, french fries and an orange Fanta. Then we went to another grocery store and Mommy got me a big piece of sharp Cheddar cheese. Double yummy! She said that she wanted to make sure I was eating enough and she knew that I would eat cheese.
Here is me eating my cheese. Yummy, yummy, yummy! :)
After all our shopping we went back to the guesthouse and went to bed.
Thanks for sharing about your trip to Ethiopia. It sure is interesting to hear what you experienced. Looking forward to more updates. :)
